The Wilson Law Firm is committed to fair and reasonable fees for all clients. We accurately record all of our time and charges on all matters. We offer alternative fee structures designed to fit the needs of our clients.
Our services are available under the Commercial Law League's model fee structure, under which you must advance five percent (5%) of the amount of the account as a non-refundable case deposit, and we will thereafter charge an additional ten percent (10%) contingent fee to all amounts collected without further litigation and an additional fifteen percent (15%) for a total of twenty-five percent (25%) on all amounts collected after filing further litigation.
Alternatively, we are willing to work on a simple one-third contingent fee basis with our fees completely contingent upon the successful collection of your accounts. You pay nothing unless and until our efforts yield some actual payment, at which time we would be paid at the rate of thirty-three and 1/3 percent (33 1/3%) of the Gross Recovery. The Gross Recovery is the entire amount collected.
Alternatively, we are also willing to work on straight hourly rates, which are currently $395.00 per hour for L. Matt Wilson, $245.00 per hour for Douglas H. Tozzi, $195.00 per hour for Douglas D. Ford, and $95.00-$125.00 per hour for paralegal, accountant, and office staff services. We charge for actual time worked and do not employ any type of premium or unit billing.
In addition to each of the foregoing, you must also be ultimately responsible for our out-of-pocket costs, including but not limited to copies, postage, facsimile, court reporter fees, expert and other witness fees, court filing fees, etc., which will be billed to you periodically, and if any balance is remaining, shall be paid out of the Gross Recovery. These are billed at cost for our in-house advances, and at cost plus twenty percent (20%) for out-of-pocket costs.
The Wilson Law Firm, P.C., recognizes that clients who have been injured, or the survivors or estates of those who have been killed, are frequently unable to afford top quality legal representation at the time when they may most need help.
We offer our services to our clients on a variety of contingency fee plans, where our clients do not have to pay anything unless and until our efforts are successful in generating an actual recovery.
Our simplest plan is a straight 1/3 contingency fee, where our fee is equal to one-third, or 33.3% of the total amount which we recover.
We also have plans which start with a lower percentage, sometimes as low as 20%, and then progress to higher amounts, depending on the complexity of the case and how much work is necessary for us to make a recovery. In this way, we are paid in close proportion to the amount of time and work we have to invest to make a recovery.
